Horrific Incident in Muradnagar: Woman Gang-Raped, Then Paraded Naked by Mob
A shocking incident in Muradnagar, Comilla has sent waves of outrage across the country. In the early hours of June 26th, a young woman was allegedly raped by a middle-aged man, who was later caught and subjected to brutal public humiliation by local villagers.
The victim was asleep in her home in Ramchandrapur South Union when Fazal Ali (38) allegedly broke into her room around 2 AM. Before she could scream for help, he covered her mouth and sexually assaulted her.
Family members rushed in after hearing muffled cries, initially mistaking the intruder for a thief. Neighbors quickly gathered and apprehended the suspect.
In a disturbing turn, the enraged villagers stripped Ali naked, smeared his face with ink, and forced him to parade through the village. Several bystanders recorded the 51-second humiliation, which later went viral on social media.
"We thought he deserved this punishment for what he did to that girl," said one villager who witnessed the event.

While the rape case has been filed against the absconding main accused, authorities are also investigating the mob violence.
"This is an extremely sensitive case. We're investigating both the rape allegation and the subsequent humiliation of the accused. No one will be spared," said the Muradnagar Police Station OC.
Rights organizations have condemned both crimes:
1. The alleged rape of the woman
2. The extrajudicial punishment meted out by villagers
Bangladesh Human Rights Foundation stated: "Taking law into one's hands creates anarchy. Justice must come through proper legal channels."
The incident has split local opinions - some justify the mob's actions while others see it as another crime against human dignity.
Editorial Note: This tragic case reminds us that justice must be served through legal means, not emotional reactions that breed further crimes.
